FusionFall Retro is OUT!

2 08 2017

Well, partly, anyway.

Yesterday, the long-awaited FusionFall: Retro, the remake of original game, was meant to be fully-playable. Unfortunately however, the devs suffered a database leak and so the release had to be delayed. Luckily, the devs were considerate enough to release the game bit-by-bit over the next week or so. Today, we can play through the tutorial at our leisure! 😀

Unfortunately (again), there are some things missing. The Settings menu isn’t available (or was it ever available in the tutorial anyway? I don’t see why not but eh), neither is the chat or emotes, not even character selection; every time you boot up the game, you’re sent straight to the tutorial. If you’re wanting to explore more than just the apocalyptic Tech Square, I would recommend you wait for a few days, maybe even until tomorrow, but if you’re looking for a quick nostalgia-trip, I say play this immediately! Or, y’know, as soon as you can.

The full post, along with the install and a little bit of troubleshooting should you have trouble installing (which I personally didn’t but it’s there if you need it) can be found here.

Have fun! (And yes, I know I missed some Legacy news over the past year almost, sue me.)

EDIT: The post also says laptop touchpads are not supported but… they are? Well it is on mine anyway.

Anyway, cya!

Fusions from the Underworld

1 11 2016

Part 2 of… 2? 😛

Hey guys! ‘Tis Halloween (for 7 more minutes over here as I’m typing) and part 2 of the Legacy DevBlog is up! Today’s featured spook is…

Everyone’s favourite, Tom Jones Dracula! 😀 Yep, the Count is back with items! For those who don’t know, Dracula was the second character added to the game after release (the first being Cheese). He appeared in Halloween 2009 to give pumpkin C.R.A.T.E.s to everyone. For a fee, of course. One of these items were the hologram set, which normally was just plain black, but during certain events (this included), the set would change its look.

Anyway, onto what’s actually new:

Nano Dracula! He’s a Blastons type and is apparently younger than Dracula, but I don’t think so. 😛 Actually he’s the first new Nano that I know of where the type has been revealed… That’s… that’s actually all I have to say about the Nano. Onto the Fusion!

The Master! I mean… Dracula. 😛 The Legacy team decided to remove the classic Fusion eyes and replace them with… normal red eyes. On Fusion Dracula, they don’t look so bad, but on Fusion Grim…

No. Just… just no. Redesigning the Powerpuff Girls, I can handle. They looked much better. I can handle it. But this? No. Especially the mouth that gets me.

This is the original Fusion Grim. I admit, maybe the Legacy Fusion eyes would look better on him… but the fact they added that mouth makes him look more than a Fusion Spawn with a body than anything else. :\

Rant over. Back to Drac. There’s not much left to tell other than he’ll be at the Eternal Vistas with some missions, most of which involving Bloo…

Yep. That’s pretty much it for now. Stay safe, happy Halloween and…

Meet the Reaper… Costume

24 10 2016

It’s that time again! Where Halloween stuff comes out a month early and everyone forgets about Halloween and skips to Christmas for some odd reason. To us FF veterans, Halloween has some special significance. It was this time 7 years ago when FusionFall got its first event. The skies were as black as night (because they were), Planet Fusion was a mere shadow on the moon, Dracula made his first appearance, we got free stuff and the music was changed to that of the Nowhere Triangle Infected Zone.

It was actually the biggest event FusionFall ever had. For the reasons above and we all got great stuff in both the future and past. Sure, people in the future got stuff in later events, but hardly anything compared to this.

Anyway, enough about 7 years ago. Now onto this year!

Legacy is posting these news as two-parters. This week is part one with part 2 coming presumably next week. The above picture is of the Batty Bloodsucker. Some of you may remember these things as just normal enemies, but now it’s a super boss like Don Doom and Mad Max. Only unlike those guys, Bats has bodyguards, so be on your toes and bring yer friends! But defeat him and you get…

This cool Billy & Mandy stuff! (I need that Jack O’ Lantern hat though.) More on the way of course, but this is just a teaser. Why spoil the surprise…? Batty isn’t the only boss you’ll get to fight either.

To the left, we have some of the original monsters from the original game, whilst to the right, we have Legacy’s boss variants. Personally I think the boss Cryptworm could have its textures given more of the classic Legacy update, but hey. It probably won’t be that much bigger than a normal Cryptworm boss, so hey.

That’s it for this time! If you want to check out the original post, it’s always on the Legacy site here.

Anyway, cya!

Powerpuff Save the Day!

21 08 2016

Another month, another DevBlog from the Legacy team! This time from a more well-known series, The Powerpuff Girls! Some of you may have noticed on the Legacy page that the Pic of the Day (or Pic of the Fort-Day, at times. Is… is “fort-day” a word? Y’know, like “fortnight”, only every 2 days rather than 2 weeks? No? Oh…) this week has been full of sugar, spice and everything nice. This is because the team have been getting us ready for the next DevBlog.

Others may have noticed on these Pics that the girls have had a bit of a retexture. That is something you would expect in Legacy, since it’s from 2016. So far. But it’s more than just a HD thing. Models have also changed to make them more consistent with each other.

Makes sense given they’re triplets n’ all. 😛 I love seeing how Legacy is remaking NPCs and Nanos. It’s so glorious to see your favourite characters in marvelous HD rather than 260 quality back in the original game. It was 2008, CN, c’mon!

Along with these new model and texture fixes, NPCs will also now have…

Okay… I’m making it seem like I’m sarcastic here, but I’m actually mildly excited for this. If I recall, only Bloo had any form of facial expression other than whatever his facial texture had. He had those weird-looking eyelids (3D eyelids do not work on 2D eyes…) and a functioning mouth. Chowder could also move his mouth I think, but that was it. Other characters simply blinked. Now with this, if Mandy decided to dance, she would look happy!

Eh, who am I kidding? Mandy never looks happy.

NPCs aren’t the only ones to have this either. Nanos do too!

*Gasps* What’s this I see? A Nano Belladonna?!

No longer would Blossom, Bubbles or Prof. Utonium look at the Buttercup Nano and not question where you got her before doing the I’m Not Dead missions! Maybe. To be honest, I have no idea how early you’ll be able to obtain her, but like the Buttercup Nano, Belladonna is Blastons.

But that’s it for this month, presumably! Cya!

It’s My Birthday…

5 07 2016

Hi guys. Normally I wouldn’t post when it’s my birthday (I think), but yeah. It is. The universe thinks it’s OK for me to be 20 already. Hasn’t it met me?! I’m hardly even mature enough to be 20! Just look at this site, I’ve been running it since I was 13! 😛

…Wow, really? 13? Just over 6 1/2 years!

Lvl 25 Photo

I looked so young… *sighs* I still miss that Candy Pirate set… never did find out what happened to it.

So anyway yeah, I’m 20 today and I don’t like it. That’s all. Nothing new FusionFall-wise. Cya!

Bring Me the Nano of Larry 3000

1 07 2016

Hey guys! So as you might already know, more info on Larry 3000’s role in FusionFall: Legacy have been revealed.

As you may remember, Larry also appeared in the original game in Numbuh Two’s time lab during the mission Time to Go and was the primary focus of the mission Bring Me the Head of Larry 3000, both of which were deleted after the 2011 expansion, being both Future-only missions.

Apparently, there was also an event planned involving the Time Squad cast but unfortunately, that was planned. So now it’s being used in Legacy instead!

He was revealed early into Legacy’s development with the Otto-Matic Assumptions missions, which have now been told in more detail. The story being similar to Flapjack’s search of Bubbie in the original game. In FusionFall, Stormalong Harbour was destroyed by Fuse and Flapjack, K’Nuckles and Bubbie were separated. Flapjack’s missions in Leaky Lake involve searching for clues to find Bubbie, but to no avail.

In Legacy, the Time Squad satellite was sent to our current time and Larry, Buck and Otto fled to Earth in escape pods, which Larry landing in Goat’s Junkyard, with Buck and Otto’s whereabouts both unknown. With a little help from Coop, Larry is able to make contact with Buck Tuddrussel and the three start looking for Otto, dreading the worst.

Of course, Larry also has a Nano. Unfortunately, you’ll have to level up quite a bit before you can obtain him, presumably in the 20s or 30s. Heck, I don’t even know what the level cap is going to be in Legacy! His powers haven’t been fully thought up yet, but you can be sure a Recall ability is going to be one of them. Because, well… it’s Recall. 😛 I also expect him to be either an Adaptium or Cosmix… but these are just assumptions. Otto-matic ones! 😉

Okay, I’ll stop…

You can read the news post here and the full DevBlog here. Some of Nano Larry’s animations have also been revealed!

I’m liking that new energy shield look. Finally, more shielding. 😛

Anyway, cya!

Hints n Tips on Facebook

14 06 2016

Hi guys! In case some of you didn’t know, a few years ago, I made a Facebook page for HnT for reasons I actually can’t remember why. But I did, and for over three years now, it had been pretty much abandoned.

Well just yesterday, I gave it a little bit of an update (with the not-so-famous-probably Zombieweasel logo and a new, slightly-updated version of the current site banner made for Facebook, but will edit into the site soon too, as of typing this) and actually posted.

Because of the lack of FusionFall-related stuff right now, there isn’t a lot to post about, neither here nor on the FB page, but if you want to check it out (and even like it, which I recommend you do. 😉 ), then simply click here.

Anyway, cya!
