Kids Next Door: Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. Review

9 01 2014

(I couldn’t find the logo on it’s own, okay?)

This week, I’ll be reviewing Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. (Villains In Detention Escape Outpost Growing Amalgamation Mega Enormously), released in 2005 for the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox.

I haven’t played this game in a while, so I can’t remember much of it. That, and I haven’t beaten it yet. 😛 But it starts with Numbuh 1 testing out a new simulation device. The Toiletnator then arrives and ties up Numbuh 2, 3, 4 and 5, while Nigel thinks the whole thing is part of the simulation. The Sector then find out that some of their worst enemies have escaped and taking their revenge. Or something like that…

You get to play as the operatives of Sector V, and, using cheats, enemies and Numbuh 86. You can also play as bosses in some kind of simulation mode. That is not part of normal gameplay.

The gameplay itself is pretty good. The controls work, though the enemies can be tough. I remember not being able to get past Grandma Stuffum as a kid! But I was a noob back then. I was even scared of a firetrucking Cyber Stinger in FusionFall back when I was 12!

The music and voices are from the show (By voices, I mean the actors. Not clips from the show), and pretty much everything else about the game is just like in the show!

Pretty good game. Not the best I’ve played, but it was fun. Last time I played it, I told myself to play 1 level a day. I ended up getting to level 3 in that same day. 😛 So it’s kind of addicting. Not as addicting as FusionFall was, but still very fun.

I’m going to take another break next week, so no vote or review. Voting will resume on next Saturday. Anyway, cya!
